Students are expected to gain muscular strength, develop stamina and control as they learn ballet technique appropriate for their ability. Students learn the basic ballet positions, the progression of a standard ballet barre and the French vocabulary that defines all of the steps in classical ballet. These students also move into beginning centre work, away from the support of the ballet barre. Students are placed in an environment to help improve concentration and listening skills while teaching discipline and classroom etiquette. Students are required to take at least two ballet classes each week. Classes are held at our studio in Dripping Springs, Texas.
Students enrolled in Level 1A ballet may take Pre-Tap (6 yr. olds) or Tap 1 and Jazz 1 (for students ages 7+) on Thursdays for no additional charge as long as they maintain good attendance in their ballet classes.
