Students are expected to gain muscular strength, develop stamina and control as they learn ballet technique appropriate for their ability. Students learn the basic ballet positions, the progression of a standard ballet barre and the French vocabulary that defines all of the steps in classical ballet. These students also move into beginning centre work, away from the support of the ballet barre. Students are placed in an environment to help improve concentration and listening skills while teaching discipline and classroom etiquette. Students are required to take at least two ballet classes each week.
Level 1A students ages 6 and 7 are also expected to take Pre-Tap. Level 1A students ages 8 and older are expected to take Tap 1 and Jazz 1 classes. Fees for these classes are included in the Level 1A monthly tuition fee.
Classes are held at our studio in Dripping Springs, Texas.
Our Academic Year schedule starts on September 3, 2019 and runs until May 30, 2020.
